Subject: | CPL Milford H. Wensel Memorial Highway |
In the near future, I intend to introduce legislation designating the portion of State Route 2024 and State Route 1016 in Beech Creek Borough, Clinton County, to the intersection of State Route 1016 and Kato Orviston Road in Curtin Township, Centre County, as the CPL Milford H. Wensel Memorial Highway. Corporal Milford H. Wensel was born on December 2, 1948, to Walter H. and Beatrice M. Wensel. He is a 1966 graduate of Lock Haven High School. In March of 1969, CPL Wensel was deployed to Vietnam. After two short months, on June 5, CPL Wensel was killed while serving this great country. CPL Wensel was only 20 years of age. He was later awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Please join me in honoring this American soldier by offering your support of this proposal. Your co-sponsorship would be greatly appreciated by the residents of Beech Creek Borough, Beech Creek Township, Liberty Township and Curtin Township, who wish to honor Corporal Milford H. Wensel’s life and legacy. Thank you in advance for your consideration. If you have any questions, please contact Samantha Lockhart at 717-772-2283 or by email at SLockhart@pahouse.net. |
