Subject: | Legislation Providing for Net Neutrality Within the Commonwealth |
In the near future, I plan on introducing legislation that would provide for net neutrality within the Commonwealth. On December 14th 2017, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to dismantle the rules that regulated internet service providers (ISP). These rules are called net neutrality regulations and they prevent ISPs from taking advantage of internet users. My legislation makes it illegal for ISPs to block lawful internet content, impair internet traffic or engage any other activities that negatively affects the web experience of some for the benefit of a few. Please join me in co-sponsoring this important legislation so that we can maintain internet fairness within the Commonwealth. |
