MEMORANDUM

Posted: February 14, 2018 10:53 AM
From: Representative Thomas J. Quigley
To: All House members
Subject: Native Vegetation Along Highways Legislation

In the near future, I will introduce legislation to encourage the Department of Transportation to plant vegetation, which has been identified by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, as being native to Pennsylvania.

In this way, native vegetation planted along highways will thrive because those plants are better adapted to local conditions. Native vegetation is also more likely to support wildlife, while discouraging invasive plant species in our fair Commonwealth.

Please join me in sponsoring this important piece of legislation.

Introduced as HB2131
