|Subject:||SHORT NOTICE - Int'l Childhood Cancer Day Recognition Resolution|
|I apologize for the VERY short notice, but I will soon be introducing a resolution adding our Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the growing chorus of public and private entities recognizing February 15, 2018 as International Childhood Cancer Day.
This recognition, which is separate and distinct from other similar recognitions, is a joint effort of Childhood Cancer International, and the International Society of Paediatric Oncology.
Globally, childhood and adolescent cancer is threatening to overtake infectious diseases as one of the highest causes of disease-related mortality in children. The ICCD campaign's ultimate goal and unified message is "Advance Cures and Transform Care". My staff is available if you have any particular questions.
Please consider co-sponsoring this Resolution, which will be submitted almost as soon as the language is drafted. Again, thank you for your concern about this issue.
