|Subject:||Resolution Recognizing “National Healthy Schools Day” in Pennsylvania|
In the near future, I am planning to introduce a resolution that will recognize April 3, 2018, as “National Healthy Schools Day” in Pennsylvania.
National Healthy Schools Day is an important day to promote and celebrate healthy school environments that are conducive to learning and to protecting occupant health. This day is observed in communities nationwide and serves to highlight the impact of school facilities and the school environment on a child’s health, development, and academic achievement. To celebrate “National Healthy Schools Day”, schools, parents, personnel, advocates, and agencies unite nationwide to promote healthy and green school environments for all children.
Please join me in co-sponsoring a resolution that formally designates April 3, 2018 as “National Healthy Schools Day” throughout the Commonwealth.
