Subject: Resolution Honoring the Improved Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks of the World (IBPOEW) on their 95th PA State Association Conference
 
In the near future, I intend to introduce a resolution honoring and recognizing the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks of the World (IBPOEW) on the occasion of their 95th Pennsylvania State Association Conference.

The IBPOEW is a national organization for African American men and women established in 1898. Throughout the first half of the twentieth century the group fought segregation in schools and the workplace and they remain active throughout the Commonwealth today, committed to serving local communities and promoting racial equality around the world. In April, the IBPOEW will hold their 95th Pennsylvania State Association Conference in Pittsburgh.
