MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 19, 2018 09:08 AM
From: Representative W. Curtis Thomas
To: All House members
Subject: The Pennsylvania Minimum Wage

In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation that will increase the minimum wage in Pennsylvania.
This legislation would increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour and the tipped minimum wage to $4.50 an hour. All future annual increases would be tied to increases in the consumer price index. In addition, this legislation would provide enabling language that would allow municipalities to raise their respective minimum wages. Currently, municipalities do not have this authority.

Please join me in cosponsoring this important legislation.

Introduced as HB2043
