Subject:	Co-sponsor requiring Wedding Photographers to be licensed professionals.

In the near future, I will be introducing legislation requiring Wedding Photographers to be licensed professionals based on the “Professional Photographers of America”. The PPA sets standards and requirements for wedding photographers to protect brides from the horror stories of their wedding day photo shoot.

Licensing would help prevent some of the following unforeseen occurrences:

Digital image data loss
Failure of photographer not to show up at wedding for photo shoot.
Missed or missing images.
Attorney fees
Photographer goes out of business before wedding and does not reimburse bride.
Liability for injury or property damage.
