Subject: Lung Cancer Awareness Month
 
On Monday, November 13, 2017, I intend to introduce a resolution designating the month of November 2017 as "Lung Cancer Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

The number of deaths due to lung cancer in the United States is more than all combined from colon, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers, making it the leading cause of cancer deaths in this country. An estimated 222,500 new cases are projected to be diagnosed this year.

Please join me in spreading the awareness and recognizing this devastating disease.
