Subject: Resolution Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Physician Assistant Profession
 
In the very near future, I will be introducing a resolution commemorating the 50th anniversary of the physician assistant profession.

Physician assistants have been improving patient outcomes and moving healthcare forward since the creation of the profession in 1967. Physician assistants practice in all settings and specialties, including the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, assisting in surgery and prescribing medications. Physician assistants are a valuable asset to the medical team, enhancing the delivery of high-quality healthcare for patients, often in medically underserved and rural areas.

I would appreciate your support in co-sponsoring this resolution to recognize the individuals who serve as physician assistants.
