Subject:	Synod of the Trinity Celebrating 300th Birthday

Within the next week, I plan on introducing a Resolution to recognize the Synod of the Trinity celebrating its 300th birthday on September 17, 2017. Synod of the Trinity is a middle governing body of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) located in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, having been organized in Philadelphia on September 17, 1717. The Synod serves close to 1,100 congregations in Pennsylvania, all of West Virginia except for the eastern panhandle, and the counties of eastern Ohio (with Virginia’s north panhandle) generally known as the Upper Ohio Valley. While the name and boundaries of the Synod have changed during the last three centuries, the commitment and dedication to those who are serving in the name of the Lord in their communities and around the world have not. Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution to commemorate the Synod of the Trinity celebrating its 300th birthday.
