Subject: | Lower Paxton Township 250th Anniversary |
In the near future I will be introducing a resolution celebrating the 250th Anniversary of Lower Paxton Township. Lower Paxton Township was named in 1767 from part of what was originally Paxton Township. Most of the original settlers in the township were German and Scotch-Irish immigrants who founded the township’s three villages, Linglestown, Paxtonia and Colonial Park. Lower Paxton Township is the second most populous municipality within Dauphin County, after the city of Harrisburg. Please join me in recognizing such a milestone in the township’s history. |
