Subject: Resolution recognizing July 20, 2017 as Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day in Pennsylvania
 
In the near future, I will be introducing a House Resolution recognizing July 20, 2017, as Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day in Pennsylvania. As you may know, she founded Special Olympics and held the first international Special Olympics Games on July 20, 1968. Her story is an inspiration to us who believe very strongly in the value of human endeavor. Through the work of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and the Special Olympics, people with intellectual disabilities have become known not for their disability but for their ability. Please join me in sponsoring this resolution. Thank you!
