Subject: Lifesharing Awareness Month - October 2017
 
I am planning to introduce a resolution designating October 2017 as "Lifesharing Awareness Month" in PA.

Lifesharing is providing a place to live for people with intellectual disabilities in which they can develop close, committed personal relationships. Individuals who live with foster parents through Children and Youth services are able to continue living in the same home under Lifesharing when they turn 21. This is a better option both socially and financially for all parties involved, providing consistency and continuity of care.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution.
