|Subject:||Designating March 2017 as “Brain Injury Awareness Month”|
|In the near future, we plan to introduce a resolution designating March 2017 as “Brain Injury Awareness Month” in Pennsylvania.
Brain injuries, whether acquired or traumatic, can happen anytime, anywhere, to anyone. The Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania reports the following statistics relating to brain injuries in Pennsylvania:
As you can imagine, brain injuries greatly impact the lives of individuals who have experienced them as well as their families and loved ones. Therefore, we must encourage ongoing research in brain injuries as well as treatment and support for patients in recovery.
Please join us in co-sponsoring this important resolution and designating March 2017 as “Brain Injury Awareness Month” in the Commonwealth.
