|Subject:||Susquehanna River Basin Commission|
|In the near future I will be introducing legislation that will remove all “FUTURE” employees of the Susquehanna River Basin Commission from the State Employees Retirement System.
We are all aware that our two pension systems are in deep trouble and this would be a small step toward rectifying the problem.
In doing research on SRBC I found that the SRBC employees are not state employees. I also found that many of their employees live in New York State and they do not spend much time in Pennsylvania.
SRBC is having to pay a significant portion of their budget to pay for their SERS Costs. This would help them and our municipalities lower the costs of SRBC.
Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation that makes a small step towards fixing our pension problem.
Introduced as HB922
