MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 25, 2017 09:48 AM
From: Representative Thomas P. Murt
To: All House members
Subject: Removing the Word “Recent” from the Definition of Child Abuse (Prior HB 1252)

I am planning to reintroduce legislation amending Title 23, the Domestic Relations Statute, to remove the word “recent” from the definition of child abuse. This would allow for acts of child abuse, no matter how long ago they occurred, to be recognized as such.

Please consider joining me in co-sponsorship of this important legislation.
