|Subject:||Casino Entrance Fee to Help Fund State Pension Funds (Prior HB 1025)|
|Pennsylvania’s pension crisis has been in the news for the past several years, and finding solutions has been difficult.
I plan to reintroduce legislation to provide additional funding to the Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) and State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS).
I am proposing that each casino patron pay a $2 entrance fee. To accomplish this mission, the casinos could put in place turn stalls with meters. The money collected would be divided evenly between the two state pension funds.
