Subject: | Casino Entrance Fee to Help Fund State Pension Funds (Prior HB 1025) |
Pennsylvania’s pension crisis has been in the news for the past several years, and finding solutions has been difficult. I plan to reintroduce legislation to provide additional funding to the Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) and State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS). I am proposing that each casino patron pay a $2 entrance fee. To accomplish this mission, the casinos could put in place turn stalls with meters. The money collected would be divided evenly between the two state pension funds. Previous Cosponsors: BAKER, COHEN, DAVIDSON, GALLOWAY, LAWRENCE, McCARTER and TALLMAN |
