| Subject: | Exempt Residents 65+ from the local Per Capita Tax |
| This legislative package will exempt individuals 65 years and older from paying the Local Per Capita Tax. The legislative package includes four pieces of legislation, which is necessary due to the fact that the Per Capita Tax is provided for in the Public School Code, the Local Tax Enabling Act, the Third Class City Code and the County Code. I would appreciate your support. Please remember to cosponsor all four pieces of legislation. This is a reintroduction of former HB’s 588-591. Previous cosponsors include; BARRAR, DAY, DeLUCA, FREEMAN, MOUL, MURT and ZIMMERMAN. CS/cmc |
