|Subject:||Legislation Establishing a Police Fuel Reimbursement Fund|
|In the near future, I intend to re-introduce legislation that will amend Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes establishing the Police Fuel Reimbursement Fund, while providing for a police reimbursement surcharge.
This legislation will impose a surcharge of $12 upon a conviction for a violation of section 3362 (relating to maximum speed limits) of Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes. The collected surcharges will be remitted to the Commonwealth and deposited into the Police Fuel Reimbursement Fund. The fund established under this act will provide police departments across the Commonwealth with additional funding to help offset fuel costs.
Please join me in supporting our police departments by offering your co-sponsorship to this important legislation.
