Subject: | Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day-October 7, 2016 |
Later this week, I will be introducing a Resolution recognizing October 7, 2016 as "Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day" Trigeminal Neuralgia is a chronic pain condition characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face. The pain felt is among the most excruciating known to man which is why it has been dubbed the "suicide disease." The condition is so rare that it affects 1 in 15,000-20,000 individuals, more often women. The number actually affected may be higher due to misdiagnosis. In an effort to increase awareness of the diseases, buildings around the world will be highlighted in Teal on October 7, 2016. Please visit the website, http://www.tnnme.com/2016-light-up-teal-4-tn.html for more information. Your support of this Resolution and awareness effort would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration. |
