Subject: September as “Children’s Cardiomyopathy Awareness Month”
 
To help raise awareness of pediatric cardiomyopathy, the number one cause of sudden cardiac arrest and heart transplants in children, I will soon be introducing a House Resolution designating the month of September as “Children’s Cardiomyopathy Awareness Month.”

As many of you are aware, our grandson, Nolan, received a heart transplant as a result of pediatric cardiomyopathy, so this issue hits very close to home.
