|Subject:||Resolution: Commemorating the American Bar Association Division for Public Education’s 29th National Law-Related Education Conference|
|In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution commemorating the American Bar Association Division for Public Education’s 29th National Law-Related Education Conference which will be held in Philadelphia from October 28 through October 30, 2015.
The American Bar Association (ABA) Division for Public Education encourages every lawyer to consider it part of his or her fundamental professional responsibility to further the public’s understanding of the rule of law and the American system of justice. Our legal institutions and the rule of law depend on public understanding of, and confidence in, the legal system. Widespread understanding of the law promotes civic engagement and wider access to the pursuit of justice for all.
The National Law-Related Education Conference is a national assembly of teachers, professors, lawyers, judges, and civic education professionals who teach about law and its role in society. This year’s conference will be exploring the theme “The Bill of Rights in the Digital Era.” Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution that will commemorate the 29th National Law-Related Education Conference in Philadelphia.
