Session of 2015 - 2016 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: April 14, 2015 10:52 AM
From: Representative Daryl D. Metcalfe
To: All House members
Subject: American Laws for American Courts Legislation

Every United States citizen has a right to the liberties affirmed in the United States Constitution. Since the founding of our nation, men and women in the military have sacrificed to defend our Constitution.

I intend to introduce legislation that will prohibit a Pennsylvania court from considering a foreign legal code or system which does not grant the parties affected by a ruling or decision the same fundamental liberties affirmed under the United States Constitution.

The fundamental liberties protected under this bill include due process, right to bear arms, freedom of religion and speech, freedom of the press and any right of privacy that is defined in the Pennsylvania Constitution and the United States Constitution.

Please join me in cosponsoring this legislation. If you have any questions please contact Gina Buffington at gbuffing@pahousegop.com or 717-783-1707.

Introduced as HB1288
