Subject: | Drinking Water Week resolution |
Pennsylvania is blessed with an abundance of a resource that is scarce in much of our nation and the world: fresh water that can become drinking water. While many Pennsylvanians enjoy well water, private and public entities operate approximately 2,200 community water systems provide high quality drinking water to homes and businesses in our Commonwealth. Properly conserving and preserving this precious natural resource is important despite its abundance. Consistent with a long tradition of House Resolutions, a resolution designating the week of May 3 through 9, 2015, as “Drinking Water Week” in Pennsylvania will be introduced soon. Sincerely, John A.
