Subject: Veterans First Tax Credit
 
In the near future I will be reintroducing the Veterans First Tax Credit that passed unanimously in the House during the 2011-12 and 2013-14 legislative sessions. This legislation would provide a tax credit to Pennsylvania businesses for each unemployed veteran hired.

The Veterans First Tax Credit has been reduced from $4,000 to $1,000 based on this year’s estimated budget deficit. The $1,000 tax credit provides some assistance to unemployed veterans who have sacrificed the most to ensure our freedom.
