Subject: Resolution – January 2015 “Financial Aid Awareness Month”
 
I will be introducing a resolution designating January as Financial Aid Awareness Month. January is the first month that students can apply for financial aid for their postsecondary education. Since Pennsylvania is one of the leading states in the nation to provide need-based State grant financial assistance to eligible Pennsylvania residents, I felt it was appropriate to designate this month to promote financial assistance awareness.
