Subject: Designating a portion of State Route 309 in Lehigh County as the Lance Corporal Brandon J. Van Parys Memorial Road
 
On February 5, 2007, in Anbar province, Iraq, Lance Corporal Van Parys was tragically killed by a rocket-propelled grenade while his unit was attempting to secure an area along the Euphrates River. Lance Corporal Van Parys heroically paid the supreme sacrifice for the county he loved. In his honor, I would like to designate a portion of State Route 309 North in Lynn Township, Lehigh County as the LCPL Brandon J. Van Parys Memorial Road. I am asking that you please join me in honoring this young man by becoming a co-sponsor to this legislation.
