Subject: | Gibbons - Creating the “Canine Health Special Registration Plate” |
In the near future, I intend to re-introduce House Bill 2589, legislation that would create the Canine Health Special Registration Plate. My legislation will amend Title 75 (Vehicles), Chapter 13 (Registration of Vehicles), Subchapter B (Registration Plates), by adding a new Section 1370, creating the specialty plate and designating a portion of the fee to help fund the Dog Law Restricted Account in the Pennsylvania Treasury.Vehicle owners would be able to purchase the specialty plate with a unique design signifying their support for the overall good health and proper treatment of canines in this Commonwealth. The Canine Health Special Registration Plate would be akin to a number of other specialty plates motorists buy to support other worthy causes.I hope you will join me in support of this legislation.
