MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 14, 2013 03:49 PM
From: Representative Thomas P. Murt
To: All House members
Subject: Senior Resident Annual Fishing License Reciprocity - Prior HB 1563

In the near future, I plan to re-introduce legislation (prior HB 1563) that would amend Title 30 (Fish & Boat code) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, authorizing the Pennsylvania Attorney General to enter into reciprocal agreements with others states allowing senior citizen fishing licenses issued by the Commonwealth and each state in agreement to be recognized as resident licenses in any state participating in such an agreement.

I believe this cost savings to our valued senior anglers would help encourage more travel by senior residents while attracting tourism to the Commonwealth from out-of-state anglers, resulting in a boost to our economy through the spending of additional sportsmen’s dollars here.

If you have any questions regarding this legislation, please contact Bonnie Book at bbook@pahousegop.com or 787.6886.
