Subject: Cosponsorship Request: Saving Family Centers
 
I am requesting your co-sponsorship of legislation that would save Family Centers from being eliminated. This legislation is similar to House Bill 1604 which I introduced in the 2011-2012 Session.

I have personally seen the effectiveness in improving lives with the services Family Centers provide. Family Centers work with parents in showing them critical parenting skills including nutrition, health, and recreational exercise. Family Centers visit homes and help families survive and thrive. They often are needed to intervene when issues of health and safety issues to children emerge. We are seeing more and more parents seeking assistance and advice. Family Centers are there for them and their children.
