Subject: Co-Sponsor: Amending Act of March 4, 1971 Finance- Inheritance Tax
 
In the coming weeks, I intend to introduce legislation amending the act of March 4, 1971 (Finance) to provide further clarity regarding inheritance tax and which transfers specifically are not subject to tax.

The proposed legislation seeks to address conflicts with the inheritance tax. While the Act currently protects certain real estate used for the purpose of agriculture from taxation, it sets a minimum yearly gross income of at least two thousand dollars. This legislation would exempt forest lands from this mandatory minimum.
