Subject:	Co-Sponsorship- Utility companies to provide notice to customer

In the near future, I will be introducing legislation requiring utility companies to provide notice. The proposed legislation would require that utility companies give notice to the customer of a price increase before further progress is made on any installations. Continuation of the project would require the customer’s approval. The utility company would be required to provide the customer with a notice of any increase with an itemized statement. Approval by the customer of the increase would be required in writing to the utility company.
