MEMORANDUM

Posted: February 19, 2013 11:35 AM
From: Representative Doyle Heffley
To: All House members
Subject: Illegal aliens in possession of ACCESS cards

In the near future, I plan to reintroduce legislation (former HB 1935) that will explicitly prohibit any illegal alien from possessing, using or attempting to use an ACCESS card or electronic benefit card. Illegal aliens are not eligible for the benefits that are accessible through an ACCESS card and they should not be permitted to carry these cards and thereby have the ability to use benefits that have been granted to other individuals who are legally eligible for such benefits.

Any person who violates this prohibition commits a felony of the third degree.

Former co-sponsors include: Barrar, Boyd, Clymer, Cutler, Fleck, Grove, Hutchinson, Kauffman, Knowles, Major, Metcalfe, Milliard, Miller, Saccone, Saylor, Stephens and Toepel.

Introduced as HB1628
