Subject: Performance Audits of County Children and Youth Agencies (Former HB 452)
 
Former House Bill 452 gives the Department of Public Welfare the authority to conduct a performance audit of a county agency’s performance at any time, and requires a performance audit at least once annually. The performance audit would be conducted without advanced notice to the county agency. Currently, county agencies must be given reasonable notice that the Department is going to conduct a performance audit.
