Subject: Wine Permit for E-Licensees
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation amending the Liquor Code that will create a special permit that will allow eating place retail licensees to sell wine purchased from a Pennsylvania licensed limited winery on their licensed premises.

An entity holding an eating place retail license is currently allowed to sell malt and brewed beverages by the glass or bottle for consumption on the premises, they may also sell up to two six packs of malt and brewed beverages for consumption off of the licensed premises.

This legislation will help expand a growing wine industry in Pennsylvania while also helping current restaurateurs increase their business through the ability to sell wine by the glass.
