MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 14, 2013 06:01 PM
From: Representative Scott A. Petri
To: All House members
Subject: Gas Transmission Line Right-of-Way - Fee Arrangement

In the near future, I will be introducing legislation amending Title 58 (Oil and Gas) to provide for fees to the PA Turnpike Commission for rights of way.

My legislation will require applicants for well permits who intend to use or establish a gas transmission line within the Turnpike’s right of way to include a copy of the fee arrangement between the Turnpike Commission and the applicant with the permit application.

In addition, this legislation will provide that gas storage reservoir operators who use transmission lines line within the Turnpike’s right of way must secure a similar fee arrangement with the Commission. Finally, the Commission is authorized to adopt regulations related to such fees under my proposal.

If you have any questions, or if you would like a copy of the legislation, please contact Lea Farrell at 787-9033 or lfarrell@pahousegop.com.
