Subject: Former House Bill 313 - Floatplanes
 
In the near future I will be reintroducing legislation amending the Conservation and Natural Resources Act (P.L.89, No.18). Specifically, the legislation I am proposing would permit the operation of floatplanes from certain lakes within the state park system.

This legislation would permit floatplanes to land and take off from lakes of a size equal to or greater than 3,000 acres, require the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to develop regulations for the proper and safe operation of these aircraft, and provide for other specific licensing and operating requirements.
