MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 7, 2013 02:34 PM
From: Representative Mark K. Keller
To: All House members
Subject: Former HB2375 - Ag Transportation Legislation

I will be reintroducing former HB 2375 which amends the current law that exempts from registration implements of husbandry used exclusively for agricultural operations by providing for travel on highways from a farm to a school that is hosting an annual agricultural-related educational event. The distance from the farm to the school cannot exceed 25 miles.

This bill also amends the current licensing exemption for a person 14 years of age or older to operate an implement of husbandry on the road between farms, to permit daytime travel to an annual agricultural-related educational event hosted by a school. The implement driven cannot exceed 11 feet and the school must be within 25 miles of the farm.

Please note that I will be introducing this on Thursday!
