Subject: | Estimated Payment Threshold for Personal Income Tax (Former House Bill 531 - 2011-2012 Session) |
I intend to reintroduce legislation to amend the Tax Reform Code to increase from $8,000 to $20,000 the Personal Income Tax threshold whereby a taxpayer is required to make estimated payments. Under this legislation, a taxpayer receiving income that is not subject to withholding in excess of $20,000 will be required to make estimated payments to the Department of Revenue.
