Subject: Cosponsorship - Allow private schoolers to participate in public school sports
 
When session begins, I will introduce the attached legislation, previously House Bill 187, to expand students’ ability to participate in sports.

Currently, the state allows home school families, as taxpayers, to have their children participate in public school sports. Private school students are not extended the same treatment. This piece of legislation would ensure that state law is consistent in this respect and allow private school students the same opportunity.
