Subject: Cosponsoring Legislation Prior 2070
 
In the near future, I plan on reintroducing legislation that will prohibit a non-United States citizen or an elected official from holding a financial interest in or serving on the governing body of:

(1) A charter school or a business or nonprofit corporation that manages a charter school or
(2) A vendor doing business with a charter school.

This piece of legislation will prevent radical elements from outside the United States from interfering in the education of our students as well as create a high ethical standard for relationships between elected officials and charter schools.
