COLONEL JOHN CRAIG MEMORIAL BRIDGE - DESIGNATION
                 Act of Nov. 23, 2004, P.L. 949, No. 140              Cl. 87
                                  AN ACT

     Designating a certain bridge carrying SR 248 over Aquashicola
        Creek in Palmerton Borough, Carbon County, as the Colonel
        John Craig Memorial Bridge.

        The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     hereby enacts as follows:

     Section 1.  Colonel John Craig Memorial Bridge.
        (a)  Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
     follows:
            (1)  Colonel John Craig will be remembered for his
        devoted service to the 147th Pennsylvania Volunteers
        throughout the Civil War.
            (2)  The distinguished contributions of Colonel Craig
        reflect the spirit of a true servant to our Commonwealth.
        (b)  Designation.--The bridge carrying SR 248 over
     Aquashicola Creek in Palmerton Borough, Carbon County, is
     designated and shall be known as the Colonel John Craig Memorial
     Bridge.
        (c)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
     maintain signs, which shall display the name of the bridge
     designated in subsection (b), at each end of the bridge.
     Section 2.  Effective date.
        This act shall take effect in 60 days.
