FEDERAL LANDS - ACCEPTANCE OF JURISDICTION RELINQUISHED BY UNITED STATES
                  Act of Aug. 5, 1977, P.L. 181, No. 47               Cl. 29
                                  AN ACT

     Providing for the acceptance by the Governor of jurisdiction
        relinquished by the United States to the Commonwealth over
        lands within the Commonwealth's boundaries.

        The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     hereby enacts as follows:

     Section 1.  General provisions.
        The consent of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hereby
     given to the retrocession of jurisdiction by the United States
     over land within the boundaries of the Commonwealth. The
     Governor is hereby authorized to accept for the Commonwealth
     such retrocession to partial, concurrent, or exclusive
     jurisdiction.
     Section 2.  Procedure.
        Retrocession of jurisdiction shall be effected upon the
     completion of the following procedure:
            (1)  Written notice shall be filed with the Governor by
        the United States, or any department or agency thereof, in
        accordance with applicable acts of Congress.
            (2)  The Governor shall give public notice of
        retrocession of jurisdiction by publication in the
        Pennsylvania Bulletin.
            (3)  Written acceptance shall not be made less than 30
        days after public notice of retrocession.
     Section 3.  Repeals.
        All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with any retrocession
     of jurisdiction effectuated in accordance with the provisions of
     this act are hereby repealed.
     Section 4.  Effective date.
        This act shall take effect immediately.
