ENLARGE POWERS OF THE DELAWARE RIVER NAVIGATION COMMISSION
                 Act of Jul. 28, 1941, P.L. 516, No. 205              Cl. 74
                                  AN ACT

     To enlarge the powers of the Navigation Commission for the
        Delaware River and its navigable tributaries with respect to
        the maintenance, operation and financing of a nautical school
        for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

        The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     hereby enacts as follows:

        Section 1.  The Navigation Commission for the Delaware River
     and its navigable tributaries be, and the same is hereby
     authorized to adopt or agree to any regulations which, in the
     discretion of the commission, are not contrary to the interests
     of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with any agency of the
     government of the United States, including the acceptance of
     such ship or ships as may be loaned to the Commonwealth of
     Pennsylvania and to accept students designated by any authorized
     agency of the government of the United States for such annual
     fees as may be in the discretion of the commission agreed upon
     from time to time.
        Section 2.  The said commission is further authorized to
     provide for such deposits by students as the commission in its
     discretion may deem necessary to guarantee contingent costs and
     expenses during the course of the students' training on board
     the Pennsylvania Nautical Schoolship not otherwise provided for
     by State or Federal appropriations.
        Section 3.  It is hereby declared that it is not the purpose
     of the General Assembly to repeal or modify any existing
     legislation on the subject hereof, except where the same may be
     supplied hereby.
        Section 4.  This act shall become effective immediately upon
     final enactment.
