Short Title:
An Act amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, adding definitions; further providing for the unified judicial system; providing for appeals from courts of common pleas and for original jurisdiction; establishing the Court of Medical Claims; further providing for selection of judicial officers, for vacancies in judicial offices and for retention election of judicial officers; providing for selection and retention of judges of the Court of Medical Claims and for salaries of judges of the Court of Medical Claims; establishing the Court of Medical Claims Fund and providing for receipts and payments; further providing for right to appellate review; providing for medical malpractice damage limitations; and further providing for appeals generally.
