AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in minors, further providing for the
offense of corruption of minors.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 6301(a)(1) of Title 18 of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
ยง 6301. Corruption of minors.
(a) Offense defined.--
(1) (i) Except as provided in subparagraph (ii),
whoever, being of the age of 18 years and upwards, by any
act corrupts or tends to corrupt the morals of any minor
less than 18 years of age, or who aids, abets, entices or
encourages any such minor in the commission of any crime,
or who knowingly assists or encourages such minor in
violating his or her parole or any order of court,
commits a misdemeanor of the first degree. A person who
at the time of the offense under this subparagraph is

employed as a peace officer as defined under section 501
(relating to definitions) or was a volunteer or an
employee of a school or any other person who has direct
contact with a student as defined under section
3124.2(a.2) (relating to institutional sexual assault)
commits a felony of the third degree.
(ii) Whoever, being of the age of 18 years and
upwards, by any course of conduct in violation of Chapter
31 (relating to sexual offenses) corrupts or tends to
corrupt the morals of any minor less than 18 years of
age, or who aids, abets, entices or encourages any such
minor in the commission of an offense under Chapter 31
commits a felony of the third degree. A person who at the
time of the offense under this subparagraph is employed
as a peace officer as defined under section 501 or was a
volunteer or an employee of a school or any other person
who has direct contact with a student as defined under
section 3124.2(a.2) commits a felony of the second
degree.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
