AN ACT
Amending the act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), entitled "An
act to consolidate, editorially revise, and codify the public
welfare laws of the Commonwealth," in public assistance,
providing for ambulance transportation services.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The act of June 13, 1967 (P.L.31, No.21), known
as the Human Services Code, is amended by adding a section to
read:
Section 443.13. Ambulance Transportation Services.-- (a)
From money appropriated for medical assistance capitation,
subject to Federal approval as may be necessary and contingent
on Federal financial participation, beginning January 1, 2025,
sufficient funds shall be included to provide rates for
ambulance transportation for ground mileage at not less than
four dollars ($4) per mile for each loaded mile.
(b) From money appropriated for medical assistance fee-for-

service, subject to Federal approval as may be necessary and
contingent on Federal financial participation, beginning January
1, 2025, sufficient funds shall be included to provide rates for
ambulance transportation for ground mileage at not less than
four dollars ($4) per mile for each loaded mile.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
