its doors removed or nonoriginal equipment manufacturer
doors, provided that the vehicle has two properly functioning
side mirrors.
(b) No violation of regulation.--As provided in this
section, a vehicle with its doors removed or equipped with
nonoriginal equipment manufacturer doors at the time of a safety
inspection shall not be in violation of 67 Pa. Code § 175.77(f)
(relating to vehicle equipment and inspection).
(c) Definition.--As used in this section, the term
"nonoriginal equipment manufacturer door" shall mean a vehicle
door that is not originally equipped by the manufacturer,
including a tube door, half door or net door.
Section 2. Section 4581(a)(2) of Title 75 is amended by
adding subparagraphs to read:
§ 4581. Restraint systems.
(a) Occupant protection.--

(ii.1) The driver and each occupant of a vehicle
operating without doors or nonoriginal equipment
manufacturer doors, as defined under section 4538(c)
(relating to vehicle doors) shall wear a properly
adjusted and fastened safety seat belt system at all
times when the vehicle is operating on a highway in this
Commonwealth.
(ii.2) A vehicle without doors shall not be driven
at any speed if an individual under 16 years of age is a
passenger in the vehicle.
