AN ACT
Designating a bridge, identified as Bridge Key 8661, carrying
State Route 3039 over Hinckston Run in Jackson Township,
Cambria County, as the Sgt. Harry Lewis Amigh Memorial
Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Sgt. Harry Lewis Amigh Memorial Bridge.
(a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares
follows:
(1) Sgt. Harry Lewis Amigh was born on April 15, 1930,
in Jackson Township, Cambria County, where he attended Vinco
School.
(2) Prior to his enlistment, Sgt. Amigh was employed by
Davis Brake-Beam Company.
(3) Sgt. Amigh enlisted in the United States Army on
August 17, 1948, and he took basic training at Camp Hood,
Texas, with the Second Armored Division.
(4) Sgt. Amigh served 21 months of occupation duty in
Germany, then he returned to the United States on August 12,

(5) Sgt. Amigh was subsequently moved to Camp Mori in
Moji, Japan on September 14, 1950, then he served in Korea
for a month before his death.
(6) Sgt. Amigh dutifully served his country until he was
killed in action in the Korean War on November 28, 1950.
(b) Designation.--The bridge, identified as Bridge Key 8661,
carrying State Route 3039 over Hinckston Run in Jackson
Township, Cambria County, is designated the Sgt. Harry Lewis
Amigh Memorial Bridge.
(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
traffic in both directions on the bridge.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
